VILLAGERS IN INDIA'S NILGIRI BIOSPHERE RESERVE in conjunction with "The
Great Elephant Migration Project"
Lantana Camara and Steel
12 x 8 x 3'

Jai is an adolescent male, and he is not only life-size, but he is also made after a living animal. "The Great Elephant Migration Project" works with villagers in India to
construct and craft life-size elephant sculptures based from actual, living animals--calves, adolescents, matriarchs and tuskers--whose habitats are being invaded
by lantana camara.
The weed is being cut down and then used to build these remarkable and joyful sculptures by the hundreds. "The Great Elephant Migration Project" transports the herds of life-size sculptures to the United States where they migrate across the country to the awe and delight of visitors in places like Newport RI, Miami Beach FL,New York City, JacksonHole, WY and BeverlyHills CA.
Check their website for all of the glorious details and to see when and where the herd will be headed.
Our first elephant sculpture from"The Great Elephant Migration Project" was a female adolescent named LiDoo Mooh and she was purchased by Brookgreen Gardens in SC
where she now lives.
All proceeds from"The Great Elephant Migration Project" go to programs supporting biodiversity.
